Educating is a form of art

Ideals and objectives of our training

In order to develop, human beings need above all:  Time and space. Time and space for play. For children, young people and adults alike. We don't treat the meaning of things or events as predetermined/given. Meaning has to be created/brought into existence through activity. Waldorf education is not a set of theories - it is process. Each day anew. 

Art is the way to go about it. Art is the catalyst for this process.  

Going the way from education as a science to education as a form of art is what we intend to do in all areas of our training. Our notion of art includes a classic approach, artistic exercises as well as a new reading of old educational texts and the penetration and a transformation of traditional patterns of thought and behavior. 

It is our goal to study thinking, acting and art, and make them vibrate with each other's energy. We aim to bring together that which has long stopped belonging together/to each other: Creating links/analogies between science, religion and art.  

An examination of thinking and feeling forms part of the work with children, young people and adults alike.Working with soil and cultivating nature are elemental concerns of education, just like experimenting with social processes and their underlying patterns and laws.
